Today we got addicted with Computers and Internet. Twenty years back there were no Computers and no Internets which we are having with us! We used to live comfortably and used to enjoy life then also! People from my time will agree with me that internet or computers have just added up the speed to the life and made the life bit easier but it is not true that without these things one can't live!
Yes there are many advantages we have because of the internet. We have access to the Data bank in any field of life on our finger tips today! The communication has become very fast. The GPS system is a big boon for us today with so many very useful applications! Thus internet has brought a big revolution in our life!
But if we see to the other side of the coin, we find some interesting things! In fact because of the internet life has become faster, mechanical and more materialistic! There is hardly any role for emotions in one's life now with the internet. People have become robots, they also started enacted like computers and their thoughts have become more logical and mechanical without much of love and affection!
Before the internet, we used to have letters as the main mode of communication and each letter written was full of emotions, affection and
feelings! Letter writing used to a big art then! But now this art has got vanished into the thin air! In absence of internet people used to visit libraries to borrow books from there and they used to read them with immense interest, which unfortunately today the modern youth seldom thinks to attempt even!In absence of internet Theatre, Dramas and movies were the main source of entertainment and there have been big artists in the past in these fields that are still remained as legends in spite of the fact that they are no more with us! Thus entertainment in these forms had its own importance in our life in the past!
Thus if I start quoting the examples a volume can be written on it! In nut shell all I can say is that in absence of the internet also the World was very beautiful and today I have accepted and enjoy it as an evolutionary change in the life which is inevitable for the progress! I appreciate the internet and its uses but don't agree to the statement that I can't imagine life without it, as I have already had it and I feel that was more sweeter than the present one! Thanks !
