Laptops That Can Run Autocad 2013

If you are an engineer or an engineering student (or even a draftsman), chances are you probably know a lot about AutoCAD.Sometimes I wonder what our professional life would be without drafting software like AutoCAD, and other times I wonder why we should we spend so much time drafting drawings.

Anyways, Autodesk has already released their latest version of the most popular automated drafting software – AutoCAD 2013, and chances are you don’t already have the laptop that can run this software. In fact, only some of the laptops meet the hardware requirements of AutoCAD 2013.

Hardware required:

  1. At least 3.0 GHz of processor
  2. At least 4 GB of available RAM space
  3. At least 6 GB of available hard disk space memory

RAM and memory requirement is no big deal. Most of today’s laptops come with 6 GB and even 8 GB of RAM.Similarly, the hard disk space in modern laptops is at least 240 GB and more. You will easily get laptops with the memory requirements.

The big deal when it comes to searching laptops that can run AutoCAD is the processor speed.

It is all about processor speed – the CPU speed.3.0 GHz of speed is not a joke and casual/cool looking laptops hardly even meet 2.5 GHz.

This means that your target should be at least an i5 processor or an i7 (sorry, i3 won’t work). Some laptops with i7 processors don’t even reach 3.0 GHz.

Price: All in all, your budget should be at least around $700 and more if you want laptops with larger screens. For drafting software like AutoCAD, the bigger, the better.17-inch laptops are perfect for AutoCAD 2013.

My personal favorite for a 17-inch laptop is <HP Envy 17 And if you want a smaller laptop that meets all the requirements (and perhaps your budget as well), then choose the new <Toshiba Satellite S855 laptop
